Today my class read a called How Maui Slowed Down the Sun.
One day Maui crafted a net out of flax, and when the sun went down, his mum told him it was his bedtime.
Then he gets everyone in the village to tell everyone to get some flax then they do a karakia then they go where the sun rises and then they grab the stone around them to make a wall to get burnt then the sun comes up when it did Maui came to the sun with his Taonga then smash the sun’s noise then told him to go slower and the sun did but he was always tired.
I learned there is a mutual vision and my favorite part is when Maui has done the karakia. My questions are How did Maui get to get sun bunt.
ANZAC Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. It is celebrated every year on April 25th, the day Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) troops landed at Gallipoli in 1915 during World War I. ANZAC Day is a time to pay tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for their country, and to reflect on the impact of war on our society. It is also a time for commemorative services, parades, and other events that honor the ANZAC spirit and the values of courage, mateship, and sacrifice that it represents.
